Subdomains, page URLs and previews
Choosing a subdomain, how page paths are derived, and what the preview URL is for.

Subdomain rules
Your site lives at <subdomain>.uxmagic.io.
- Between 3 and 63 characters.
- Letters, numbers and hyphens only; no leading or trailing hyphen.
- Case-insensitive — everything normalises to lowercase.
- Must be unique across all UXMagic sites.
- Some names are reserved (system and infrastructure names). Reserved names are rejected, and UXMagic won't suggest a near-variant of one either — a suggestion you can't actually claim is worse than no suggestion.
If your first choice is taken, alternatives are suggested as you type, and only ones that are genuinely available.
Page URLs
The home page you choose is served at /. Every other published screen becomes a path derived from its name — so name your screens before publishing. "Pricing" becomes /pricing; "Screen 4" becomes /screen-4, which is not what you want in a share link.
Preview URLs
Every deployment gets its own preview host, distinct from the live site. Use it to check a build before it becomes the version everyone sees, and to share a proposed change without touching production.
Changing your subdomain
You can change it later. The old address stops working, so update any links you've already shared.
HTTPS
Certificates are handled for you on both *.uxmagic.io and connected custom domains. There is nothing to configure and nothing to renew.
