  • Steps
  • Making sketches read well
  • Sketch to wireframe instead

Photograph your sketch, upload it, and get a real screen.

Steps#

  1. Photograph the sketch straight on, in even light, with the whole drawing in frame.
  2. Upload it in the prompt box.
  3. Add the context the drawing can't carry: what the product is, what the boxes mean, the visual direction.

A sketch of our onboarding screen. The big box top-left is a video, the three stacked boxes are setup steps with checkmarks. Modern SaaS look, purple accent.

Making sketches read well#

  • Label your boxes. "hero", "nav", "chart" — written labels are read and used.
  • Draw the hierarchy. Bigger boxes become bigger elements.
  • Avoid heavy shading. Line drawings read more reliably than shaded ones.
  • One screen per photo, unless you're deliberately handing over a flow.

Sketch to wireframe instead#

If you want to stay low-fidelity — clean up the sketch without committing to a visual style — ask for a wireframe. See Wireframe mode.
