The default path: describe the interface, get the interface.

Steps#

  1. Open a project and click into the prompt box.
  2. Describe the product, the screen(s), the audience and the visual direction. See Writing a prompt that gets what you want.
  3. Send. For a new project you'll usually be shown a screen plan to approve first.
  4. Screens are designed one at a time and appear on the canvas as they complete.

Controlling the output#

Device size. Say it in the prompt — "a mobile checkout screen" — or set the screen size before generating. Existing screens can be converted to another device later; see Responsive and device variants.

Brand. If you have colours and fonts, state them explicitly and forcefully. A soft mention ("bluish") gets interpreted; an exact instruction ("primary #1B4DFF, headings in Inter, no other accent colours") gets followed.

Content. Supply real copy if the copy matters. Otherwise you get well-formed placeholder copy, which is fine for structure but not for a demo.

Images. The AI generates images where a design needs them. You can also upload your own and ask for them to be used. See Images in your designs.

What it costs#

Designing a new screen from scratch costs credits; refining one costs much less. See How credits work for the exact table.

If the result misses#

Don't regenerate the whole screen for a partial miss — say what's wrong and let it patch. Regeneration is one of the most expensive actions available and it discards the parts that were already right.
