Editing a screen

There are three ways to change a screen, and picking the right one saves both time and credits.

1. Edit mode — for content#

Click into a screen to enter edit mode. Here you can:

• Edit text directly. Click a heading or paragraph and type.
• Swap images. Replace a generated image with your own upload.
• Adjust simple properties on the element you selected.

Edit mode does not call the AI, so it is instant and free. Use it for copy, names, prices, and image swaps.

2. Chat — for structure#

Anything that changes the shape of the page goes through chat:

Add a testimonials section between the features and the pricing. Make the hero shorter and move the CTA above the fold. Turn the three feature blocks into a two-column layout.

3. Theme — for anything visual and global#

Colours, fonts, corner radii and spacing live in the project's theme. Change them there and every screen moves together. Editing a colour on one screen instead is how projects end up inconsistent. See Themes and style guides.

What not to do#

Don't regenerate for a small change. Regeneration is among the most expensive operations available, and it throws away the parts of the screen that were already right. Ask for the specific change instead.

Versions#

Every AI edit creates a new version. Nothing is destroyed and you can always step back. See Versions and history.

Keyboard focus gotcha#

If Delete or ⌘Z appear to do nothing, click on empty canvas first. While the cursor is in the prompt box, those keystrokes belong to the text field.
